Badgers Nursery
Badgers, our Nursery class, provides high quality pre-school education for children from 2 to 4 years old. We offer a small, friendly, nurturing setting for children to make their first steps into education. We cover the seven EYFS area of learning through our nature-based approach with the seasons guiding our activities and learning. We use carefully selected books to support our provision. Our provision, both inside and outside, is child-led with activities and materials provided based on observations of our children and their needs and interests as well as the seasons and selected books. Our carpet time sessions help develop a sense of community as well as literacy and communication skills in an age-appropriate way.
We spend a lot of time outdoors where the children have the space to move, be curious, use man-made and natural materials in a creative way, develop social skills and friendships, develop mathematical understanding, develop confidence and independence and, importantly, have fun. We have a garden area where the children enjoy seeing plants grow, nurturing the plants and seeing the wildlife that visits. We have forest school sessions twice a week throughout the year enabling the children to be immersed in nature, noticing the changing seasons first-hand.
The Nursery offers morning sessions (9:00 am - 12.00 noon) and afternoon sessions (12:00 noon - 3:00 pm) every day during term time. Children may attend from the age of 2 until they start school. For those children attending all day a hot meal delivered to site by our catering provider can be purchased but alternatively children can bring in a packed lunch from home.

For those children who aren’t funded or wish to do extra hours over their funding entitlement, our fee structure is linked to the Norfolk County Council Early Years Funding rates. Parent funded sessions for children are paid in advance each half term.
From September 2026 our rates are as follows:
2 year Olds - £7.72 per hour (3hr AM or PM Session £23.16; Full Day Session £46.32)
3 & 4 year Olds - £5.78 per hour (3hr AM or PM Session £17.34; Full Day Session £34.68)
