Badgers, our Nursery class provides high quality pre-school education for children from 2 to 4 years old. We offer a small, friendly, caring, safe and secure setting for children to make their first steps into education. Our Nursery has its own classroom and play area and also regularly visit the wooded area and meadow.
The Nursery offers morning sessions (9:00 - 12.00 noon) and afternoon sessions (12:00 noon - 3:00pm) every day during term time. Children may attend from the age of 2 until they start school. For those children attending all day a hot meal prepared on site in the school kitchen can be purchased.
Parent funded sessions for children are £9.75 paid in advance each half term.
Sessions for three year old children are government subsidised (up to 30 hours per week) from the term following their third birthday. Funding for two year olds may also be available if you meet the government criteria. More information about funding can be found here:
Each day there are a variety of fun, stimulating play activities, both indoors and outdoors, to encourage development in all six areas of learning specified in the Early Years Foundation Stage Guidance:
Personal, social and emotional development
Communication, language and literacy
Problem solving, reasoning and numeracy
Knowledge and Understanding of the world
